Matt and Audrey @ Discovery Cove

On Friday, Aug 23rd, I took Matt to Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins. A friend of mine who is a trainer there was able to get us discounted tickets. It was an amazing experience full of encounters with dolphins, stingrays, tropical fish, and birds. All of the exhibits are set up so that you are able to swim in them with the animals. Anheuser Busch did not skimp on anything when it came to putting the park together and we enjoyed every minute of it...well except the high percentage of male Brits who swaggered around in their speedos. Here are some pictures of our experience.

We started our day very early as you can see from our faces!

I am testing out the waters and how well i can float without using my right arm!!
The Stingrays were very docile and calm. In the large tropical reef area, they had stingrays at least 6 feet across. It was amazing to see!

Matt and "Fluff"- his little buddy that was eager to let him pet and feed her.

Matt- being pulled by "Diego". I wasn't nearly as graceful with my swim as I could only hang on with one arm so half my head was under water and I was just trying to hang on.

Our Family photo with "Diego"!!! Right after our dolphin swim, a thunderstorm rolled in. God was good and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Great pics Aud and Matt. I especially like the one where you're giving the dolphin and big smooch. Question...is that bird poop on your right shoulder???
